If you give a mom a muffin.

"IF YOU GIVE A MOM A MUFFIN-
"If you give a mom a muffin, she'll want a cup of cocoa to go with it. She'll pour herself some. Her three-year-old will spill the cocoa. She'll wipe it up. Wiping the floor, she will find dirty socks. She'll remember she has to do laundry. When she puts the laundry in the washer, she'll trip over boots and bump into the freezer. Bump...ing into the freezer will remind her...... she has to plan supper. She will get out a pound of hamburger. She'll look for her cookbook. (101 Things To Make With A Pound Of Hamburger.) The cookbook is sitting under a pile of mail. She will see the phone bill, which is due tomorrow. She will look for her checkbook. The checkbook is in her purse that is being dumped out by her two-year-old. She'll smell something funny. She'll change the two-year-old. While she is changing the two-year-old the phone will ring. Her five-year-old will answer and hang up. She'll remember that she wants to phone a friend to come for cocoa. Thinking of cocoa will remind her that she was going to have a cup. She will pour herself some. And chances are, if she has a cup of cocoa, her kids will have eaten the muffin that went with it." by Kathy Fictorie ~

My Friday the thirteenth has gone this way a little, one thing reminds me of the next reminds me of the next. I cleaned the kitchen, decluttered the counters and top of the fridge and table. I swept and put away. I took all the stuff to the garage. I ironed the wax out of the carpet. We have eaten at home all three meals yesterday and today. I watered all the plants and fixed the tire swing (replaced the ropes). I checked Shaun's math test and finished my book (I found a new author of Amish love stories). I rearranged a little of the living room but not the whole thing. Shaun wants it to stay the same so I am moving as little as I can handle. Hopefully, this small change will make it feel better. I vacuumed and dusted. I still need to put away the desktop computer and monitor in the garage, clean the bathroom, mop the floor, make dinner, dust and vacuum the rest of the house, help Shaun clean his room, weed the garden, plant the lettuce, herbs, and peas, figure out how I want to arrange the pictures in the living room and kitchen, and wash the "snow" off the front windows and put up the flower decals. Sometime today I need to shower and tonight we are going to have a potty party for Ryan. Now that Timarie isn't working she's getting him potty trained. Tomorrow is laundry and backyard. Should be tons of fun.
